MISSION & VISION

Mission

RESCUE. EQUIP. SEND.  We are on a mission to RESCUE the least of these from the darkest places in order to EQUIP them through discipleship and education then SEND them out filled with the love of the Father to live out their God-given destinies.

The LORD told us that it was our MISSION to live out and fulfill Isaiah 61. This is our DESTINY. A pioneer paves the way for others to follow … Jesus was the “Role Model Pioneer” who paved the way for us. Now it’s our mission to pioneer generations into fulfilling their PURPOSE for the Kingdom.

Vision

Our ultimate desire is to see people living as trees of righteousness that bring glory to the LORD and restoration to the nations.

WE HAVE A VISION TO SEE NATIONS RISE UP IN ADORATION OF JESUS. We want to steward the apostolic well to create change in cultures throughout the world. God is sending us to the nations to build Healing Homes, to rescue the homeless, the drug addicts, the broken, the poor, neglected children and those trapped in prostitution and sex trafficking. We were created to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, give shelter to the homeless, pray for the sick and visit those in prison. We believe that through the Love of God we can help the least of these see who they are as sons and daughters in Christ.  As pioneers we want to launch God’s children into their destiny.

CORE BELIEFS

P61's Founding Principles

These core values have been adopted entirely from Iris Global with which we are affliated. Their priorites in ministry are identical to ours.

1 | Love for Righteousness

We understand that we can find God, and can experience intimacy, communication and companionship with Him in His Presence, if we share His love for righteousness.

2 | Total Dependence on God

We are totally dependent on Him for everything, and we need and expect miracles of all kinds to sustain us and confirm the Gospel in our ministry.

3 | Ministry to the Poor

We look for revival among the broken, humble and lowly, and start at the bottom with ministry to the poor. God chooses the weak and despised things of the world to shame the proud, demonstrating His own strength and wisdom. Our direction is lower still.

4 | The Value of Suffering

We understand the value of suffering in the Christian life. Learning to love requires willingness to suffer for the sake of righteousness. Discipline and testing make saints out of us, and produce in us the holiness, without which we will not see God’s face and share His glory. With Paul we rejoice in our weaknesses, for when we are weak we are strong.

5 | His Joy = Our Motivation

The joy of the Lord is not optional and far outweighs our suffering! In Jesus it becomes our motivation, reward and spiritual weapon. In His Presence is fullness of joy, and with Paul we testify that in all our troubles our joy knows no bounds (2 Cor. 7:4). It is our strength and energy, without which we die.

MARLENE BOYD

She has served as a Director and missionary full-time with PIONEER61 since its inception in Tete, Mozambique. Marlene is called to go into the darkness and set the captive free. Her passion is to pave the way for orphans, women in trafficking and prostitutes to walk in their destinies, one soul at a time.

They then joined PIONEER61 as Directors in 2022. They pastored churches for over 20 years until they were called to serve with Iris Global as key leaders of the Family Care team. As a spiritual mother and father, Jan and Alan are called to put fresh heart into followers of Jesus, with a special focus on missionaries who serve on the front lines.

KEVIN & SHELBY BECK

In 2017, Kevin officially became a part of the team and has played such an important role in the ministry by building donor relationships, organizing events, and helping with fundraising. He continues to serve in this role while he also leads worship full time in Fayette, Alabama.

Kevin married Shelby in December of 2022, and she is the newest member of the PIONEER61 Team! Shelby is now stepping into the role of our Public Relations Coordinator, where she and Kevin will connect with partners and future partners of the ministry in America.

501(C)3 & NGO MOZ

In September of 2021, PIONEER61 Inc. became an official Non-Government Organization (NGO) in Mozambique, authorized to operate in two areas: Social Assistance and Religion.

PIONEER61 works with an extensive network of churches and community partners to accomplish three main objectives:

1. To provide social assistance to the most vulnerable people, especially orphaned and widowed children who lack family support.

2. To support the educational development of vulnerable people to open up a better future for them.

3. To provide emergency assistance in response to natural disasters or other occurrences that negatively impact the community. We feel a responsibility to support those who suffer and are in crisis, and to be a response in those moments.
